a wonderful 84 year old man came up to mt soma this morning. he brought veggies as gifts. born and has lived in same house near corner of bald creek and upper crabtree his whole life. would love to have any of us visit him. i told him it was a pleasure and privilege to meet him.
We met Frank Smart today. And what a lovely smart man he is!!! A local farmer who uses NO pesticides! He came to Mount Soma with a pickup truck full of corn, green beans and squash. All grown with loving care. He said the beans (greasy beans—native to the area) have been hand-pollinated by him and his family for 30+ years. The world needs more men like this vibrant elder. Feeling so grateful. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
How lovely to have such gifts of well tended food arrive!
The topic of children’s joy has been much on my mind as I watch my granddaughter and let her lead me in play.
