“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions”
– Albert Einstein
~
The deepest form of imagination comes right out of the absolute… unencumbered by the limitations of conditioning (samskaras).
~
When you awaken, all life is known to be born of imagination.

Here is a great quote:
~
Talent hits a target no one else can hit;
Genius hits a target no one else can see.
– Arthur Schopenhauer
~
The mind usually operates through association. It sees something and interprets that based upon what it has seen in the past. That is the result of conditioning, i.e. samskaras.
~
Genius looks and sees what actually is. Genius is free of association. Genius can pull concepts and principles out of what it observes, not because those concepts and principles were already leaned but simply because they are there.
~
Everything is permeated with all the principles that exist in nature. True genius means freedom from conditioning, i.e. enlightenment. This is why an enlightened individual sees whatever observed to be pregnant with knowledge. All of life is seen in everything in life.
~
I drove my daughter to her lacrosse lesson the other day. We were talking about something when she teasingly made the comment, “You can’t just have a normal conversation can you?” I smiled and confessed, “No, I can’t.” To me everything is profound. Everything is magnificently deep.
~
All knowledge is everywhere and in everything. And most of it remains hidden in plain sight.

My youngest heard me comment that through the feeling in the house you can easily come to know the people that are living there. She asked me to write a blog about it.
~
Home – Om – Womb. The Self manifests on many levels. What’s on the inside is reflected by what’s on the outside.
~
Because you live in your home so much of the time, that correlation, that reflection becomes very tangible, very concrete, and precipitates out into physical and energetic levels in a very direct sense.
If you walk into a home, be attentive to the feeling and you will get a feel for the person living there. You would do well to look at your own living space in that regard. By adjusting the living space, the outside can influence the inside. It goes both ways. That said, it is not as easily done as one may think.
~
A rigid person may look at a home and say, “It’s not orderly enough.” They then create so much order that it causes a tension in their being. Someone else of a more relaxed nature could look at that same home and say, “Oh, I am too messy”, or they may say “Oh, it feels too tight”.
~
So – is it your issues and conditioning that’s assessing your house, or is it coming from a deeper level? Is it the truth, a truth that you’re discovering?
~
This can be a very good arena for reflection. Pay attention when you walk into other people’s homes. What does it feel like? What’s the experience? Then, when you walk into your own living space, you may have more of a reference frame to base your assessment on.
~~
This is not to be done as a judgment of the people or yourself. It is a tool for exploration. The exploration in and of itself facilitates the self-normalization process.

I discovered Emerson early on in my life… I think 5th or 6th grade and loved his work immediately.
~
Here is a nice quote. Of course it is one thing to ‘get/understand it’ and quite another to live by it.

“What lies behind us, and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

One interpretation: right now only the Guru is keeping things from going totally crazy.

My advice: hang in there. It is probably not a time to make radical decisions.

“Destiny is not a matter of chance,
it is a matter of choice;
it is not a thing to be waited for,
it is a thing to be achieved.”
– Winston Churchill
~
All those years in the Ashram, my entire life actually, I never thought in terms of how much money I was getting for my efforts. My sights were always set on something much more meaningful. It was about my life.
~
“What am I doing with my life”, I always asked. It must have meaning, purpose, real value… a value that is not measured in dollars and cents. It must transcend dollars and cents.
~
In the Ashram, we worked hard in the name of a higher purpose. The idea that we were not “getting paid” never, ever crossed my mind. For me, the motivation was a purposeful life. That completely transcended the idea of committing my soul’s life force to mere money.
~
Someone recently commented to me that we can’t expect too much from the Ashram participants because, after all, they are not being paid. Such thinking astounds me. Paid with what!? Money? Does the value system not surpass dollars and cents? What do people who think in such terms have to show for their life?
~
And we wonder why the world is in such dire straights. Just look at the value system people adhere to.
~
I choose to have nothing to do with that. My commitment is to something far greater, far more laudable, far more enduring.
~
There are many currents in the ocean of life. You align with the one of your choice. I choose the one that offers something of enduring value to show for my life at the end of my life.

There is a saying that first God created us in His image and then we created God in our image.
