Reincarnation

plantI was asked the following:

Please comment on reincarnation and if children are able to select their parents when they come back.  You mentioned in one of your previous blogs that some enlightened choose to come back.  Is it a choice to come back?

To which I respond:

Throughout history, metaphysical and theological questions have been asked and answered by people before they have the knowledge of the fundamental understanding of life and existence necessary to answer the question.  Such superficial answers are responsible for the recent rejection of spirituality and religion by so many rationally oriented people.

Recently, at a free lecture I gave in San Francisco, questions came up and some insisted upon answers when the topic was in this domain… i.e. the required background was not sufficient to understand the answer.  Of course, many are offended if I tell them this. I did my best to satisfy them without betraying the depth of the topic.

Regarding the question at hand, we would need to deepen our understanding of what ‘select’ means, what ‘choice’ means, before we could comment responsibly on ‘select their parents.’  Regarding the enlightened choosing to come back, we would also need to understand what ‘coming back’ means.  Strictly speaking, the enlightened are never really ‘here’ at all.

The individual asking this question thirsts for Knowledge.  I love that.  I respect that tremendously.  At the same time I know that longing will never be fulfilled on the level such questions are asked.  I intend with the blog, to inspire you to look deeper. So many have such questions.  So few have the patience to do what is required to find the answers.  So many ‘teachers’ (who would appropriately be students) are happy to provide simplistic and bogus answers.

It is like a child in math class who has yet to master addition and subtraction asking the teacher to teach him calculus and complex variable analysis.  It cannot happen. Any answer sets the student adrift more than it instructs.  Why satiate him into a false sense of knowing leaving him to float in a cloud of oblivion thinking he now has more knowledge than before?

The teacher longs to give an answer… in fact, that is the deep longing of every real teacher…  to teach.  Yet these things must be done in proper time and order, lest the answers mislead more than instruct.

To answer the questions asked here directly, the answer to each is the same, namely, ‘Yes and No.’ Further understanding would require deeper knowledge.

Indigo Child

father_daughterI was asked about the concept of Indigo Child to which I respond:

Every individual, at the depth of their being, is Divine.  There are no exceptions. Parents see that in  their children.  As my brother-in-law once put it… “a little slice of Heaven”.  In other words, every parent sees their child as an Indigo Child… special. The beauty of life is that everyone, in that regard, is special… One with God.  The question becomes: “How fully is that Divinity made manifest on the surface of life?”

As the enlightened age emerges, there is no question that more and more evolved beings will incarnate.  However, the popularity of the concept of Indigo Child among New Agers is more a parental justification that their child is ‘special’ rather than the result of that movement toward the enlightened age.

Those drawn to the Indigo Child concept tend to be spiritually oriented New Agers. As a result, they tend to have a great deal of the indigo color in their aura and pass that along to their children. Therefore, those children do have more indigo in their presence. But the belief that makes them special is rooted more in a parental longing than a matter of fact.

All children are special. A parent need not worry about that. Yet the parental role should be more about supporting the child to bring that forth through commitment and character cultivation rather than attempting to rest upon the laurels of a metaphysical concept.  The parental longing is a beautiful thing.  My desire is not to make anyone wrong, but to inspire all to work with that longing in the most constructive manner.

Biocentrism

leaf

I was asked to comment on biocentrism to which I respond:

There are so many theories out there.  Let’s not put the cart before the horse. What is needed first is an understanding of the essential nature and structure of life and existence.

Once you have that, then you stand on firm ground as you evaluate all the different theories.

Without that, all these diverse theories can, like anything else, be justified with the intellect.

I prefer to give you the essence, so you can navigate the waters of life from within you own self.

This applies to all aspects of life… science, theology, everything…

The Phase Transition

gamblingWith all the political finger-pointing going on this election year, I feel the need to underscore that the current global financial crisis was “caused primarily by the greed of 1990 to present in the form of OTC derivatives.”  OTC derivatives are bets on the directions assets will go as opposed to actually owning and selling them.

The computer explosion enabled Wall Street to become a gambling casino of such sophistication that even today the Fed cannot keep up with the money changers. What they did was not illegal, but it was immoral. Yet the temptation of instant huge wealth was as great as the greed on the streets for a free ride if government will provide it. Greed permeates Kali Yuga… rich and poor alike.

The OTC explosion happened before politicians had any idea of the problem. Politicians, democrats and republicans alike, and certainly the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) were simply blindsided.  Politicians, and especially the SEC, who’s very purpose was such oversight, were asleep at the wheel.

Yes, subprime loans, going off the gold standard, allowing savings banks to speculate with investor’s money, union abuses, excessive enslavement through student loans, huge national debt, and excessive centralization of government are indeed contributing problems.  However, OTC abuse exceeds them all. Putting it all together, there has been a perfect storm.

The financial health of a nation touches every individual much more than the average citizen seems to comprehend or even care about.  There will be an economic phase transition.  After the dust clears, there will be a wave of great global prosperity, which will come in with the tide of Sat Yuga.  Our work is to do what we can to make the transition as smooth as possible.  The best you can do for yourself is join in.

Opportunities such as this come once in a million years.  Do not waste time.

Eternal Life

BEACHI received the following question:

I recently was talking to a friend who told me he knew of a man who claimed to know the secret of eternal life.  I am confused as to what eternal life really is.  Would you be so kind as to give me his perspective on the true meaning of eternal life?

To which I respond:

In essence, everything, everyone is the unified field, which is eternal.  So in essence, everyone has eternal life.  The key is awakening to that level of your being.

Many claim to have the secret of that.  Very few do.  It is not just a technique or a science.  It is also an art. The art of working with others to facilitate their enlightenment. Many claim to be enlightened.  Very few are.

Eternal life of the physical body is another matter.  It is indeed possible.  The question is, even if you could, why would you aspire to it?  What is the motivation? In other words, “Why are you here… really?”
