Sometimes in life you just need to let things go.
~
You cannot always hold on to all your dreams. When it involves a loved one, it can be particularly difficult to let go.
~
To just tell yourself you are letting go is really a lie. At such times, go deep within and find the place where nothing is held on to.
~
At the depth of your being, there is no holding. It is a place of eternal peace and rest. Cultivate your awareness of that.
~
This is called salvation. It is not an attitude. It is much deeper. It is a state of being… a state of physiology.
~
Be in the world, but not of it… not lost to it.
~
Love from that level is the highest and truest form of love.
~
Having attained that, you are still in the world of holding on, but you have not lost yourself to it.

“You can’t cross a sea by merely staring into the water.” – Rabindranath Tagore
~
To conceptualize is easy. To actualize is challenging.
~
Everyone conceptualizes their own greatness. Few actualize it.
~
Deep inside you are great. Now just live up to it.
~
You do know what that means… what that looks like… or at least you have a pretty good sense of it. To be great, simply do your best to live up to that sense. From there, the clouds will part and the sense will open with greater and greater clarity.
~
Yet be fore warned: The world is not as you have been lead to believe.

“It’s time to start living the life you’ve imagined” – Henry James
~
This is a nice enough quote. But what do you imagine?
~
Most think of the surface but I encourage you to think of the depth… qualities like integrity, wisdom, soul, fiber, etc.
~
What you live on the surface is unimportant in contrast to what you are living deeper within.
~
Imagine that!

Even in the most challenging incarnation, greatness can be attained provided your dedication is sufficient.

I had a great economics professor in college. He once compared predicting the future of the economy to predicting where the autumn leaves falling from a tree would touch the ground. It is far to complex and multivariable to predict.
~
What then does determine our future, not just economically, but in every regard? In short the answer is: alignment with natural law.
~
At the depth of existence, all things are unified. That means all things are rooted in infinite harmony. Yet the complex web of life that it births is not fathomable and can be experienced as anything but harmonious.
~
By aligning with the underlying source of infinite harmony, the surface of life is healed. All things come into harmony. Not only the economy, but also the weather, daily life, and anything else you can imagine.
~
The western approach to knowledge, ‘the scientific method’, attempts to fathom life by holding all but one variable fixed. Then formulas are created to describe that isolated law of nature. This obviously has great value, as it is the foundation of tremendous technological advancements we have all come to enjoy.
~
However, the subtlety of the mastery of life is far more sublime and multivariable.
~
Vedic science embraces all the variables simultaneously. The unified wholeness of diversity is fully addressed. Infinitely complex dynamics, such as the economy, are managed by enlivening the connection between the surface and the limitless harmony that lies at the depth of all things. This is the technology of the future. It is the reality of the situation.
~
I understand full well that this understanding, to many, is so new, so radical, that it is difficult to imagine, let alone embrace. That is fine. In fact, it is the history of all innovations.
~
It entails a whole new way of thinking… one that is in harmony with nature.

“People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing.” – Dale Carnegie
~
It is simple enough, and even on face value the truth in it is clear.
~
However, we could talk about ‘fun’ here and what it means to different people… as there is of course a personal component to it.
~
For me, something has to have real meaning or deeper significance to really be ‘fun.’ It has to be something I deeply believe in. It has to be of value.
~
Saving the world, for example. Now that is fun!
~
I am not particularly fond of traveling, but if it has a purpose… a mission, well now, that makes it great fun.
~
I am no good at small talk, but I love people. For me, to have fun with others means to share a purpose. To sit around and chat to me feels like a waste of time. To be shoulder-to-shoulder doing something of real value together, like building an enlightened city, is fun and something I never tire of.
~
Some may feel that I am not very social or available and I imagine that is true if it means small talk. On the other hand, if I see a purpose or a real value to what we are doing together, I am right there for however long it takes.
~
There is no absolute value here that I am trying to impose upon others. I am just sharing a bit about myself.
~
Thanks for listening.

This morning I heard the news that he was killed.
~
My response was silence. I felt silence inside…. no significant feeling beyond that.
~
For me it underscored the depth of the wound the world has been carrying since 9/11.
~
I am not one who feels sweetness in revenge. I feel no joy. I feel a silent void. Right now I cannot say much more than that regarding my feelings on the matter.
~
My thoughts, however, go to the future. I look to see how humanity responds to this event.
~
It is all about people. The death of such an individual, of course, reaches much further than the pragmatics of his daily activity.
