phonesSigmund Freud said, “The more the fruits of knowledge become accessible to men, the more widespread is the decline of religious belief.”

It would be better said, “The more the fruits of knowledge become accessible to men, the more purified our understanding of spirituality becomes.”

Only if religious tenets are blindly held does the gain of knowledge become threatening.

New knowledge, when held properly, deepens our understanding of spirituality, it does not undermine it.
