“Obstacles can’t stop you. Problems can’t stop you. Most of all, other people can’t stop you. Only you can stop you.” – J. Gitomer
I have seen the truth in this quote over and over again. Yet I suspect some who read it see the untruth in it more than the truth.
Another way of saying it is: “fortune favors the bold”.
Then there is that song… “I hope that you dance…”
Or, “when you wish upon a star”.
Or, “forward, forward, always forward”.
Really they are all saying the same thing.
Reflect deeply. Choose wisely. Look past the superficial self. Look to your true Self… beyond dogma, beyond greed, beyond fear, beyond weakness, beyond fatigue, beyond parental inner voices of the superego, beyond smallness, beyond grandiosity, beyond superficial ego, beyond need of recognition, beyond pride, beyond all conditioning.
You are great. Your domain is the universe. Live it.
After your physical body is gone and your true Self remains – when you are standing all alone at the ‘Pearly Gates’ – what would you do now that would make you then stand up tall, stare Saint Peter right in the eye, and say, “I did what I believed in.” ?
Decide what you truly believe in. Then ‘just do it’.
Wow, great blog. Usually I think it’s silly that people need the new year to make a resolution in their life. And more often than not its something superficial. This on the other hand, would be a life worth living. Go big or go home. Right?
Jai !
Happy New Year everyone. I will see you soon. Jai Guru Dev.
Ahhhhh, Yay, and Joy to the world. Happy New Year and Peace on Earth.
Love Joanne and Tom
Jai Guru Dev!
decide what? believe what? just do what?
Dearest Bhramarshi,
I really appreciate feeling you through these blogs.
Thank you for continuing to speak the Truth. You are truly
a blessing for this planet. May you live long and generate
even more ability to shine your/the Divine light into the world.
With love and deep respect, Jasmine
Steven,
Ultimately the decision of what you believe in is not made with the intellect. And what you do is not a chosen course of action. Ultimately, the ‘you’ that you think of as you [i,e, the superficial, conditioned, programmed, personality self] melts away. That small self no longer does anything… no longer is. It was just a cloak, that thinned over time to become a shear veil and then disappear.
What I have called the Cosmic Flow overtakes the small ‘you’. At that point, you could say that you cease to exist, or that you have become your true self, your divine self, one with God, overtaken by God, freed from programming, etc. It is a state of being. Not a philosophy.
However, the path to attaining that is through the small self. The decisions you make are yours. The actions you choose are yours. This blog is simply a call to choose wisely.
