May 20, 2017 was another great day. Lots of people fillled Hanuman Park for Hanuman Jayanthi. The chanting and bhajans were wonderful. The feeling of family, community and devotion filled the air. Beautiful!

It was really a wonderful celebration! Sri Hanuman seemed to light up as soon as the ceremony started. And he looked truly magnificent by the end. Also, it was very enjoyable to listen to different cultural communities of people singing devotional songs together. Heartwarming and uplifting for sure.
Hanuman Jayanthi was a fun, beautiful, and festive day! I enjoy watching all the families, people of all ages, and of various backgrounds. Everyone celebrates, works, and eats together, creating a colorful community of good cheer. It was also the largest crowd eating together in the new dining location!
There was a tranquil excitement in the air. What a feeling to be around so many people who feel such a reverence for Hanuman. People were breaking into spontaneous devotional songs, playing musical instruments and watching with awe. I am always amazed to see how much work and preparation goes into washing, dressing and ornamenting him with such care and delight. It really has to be experienced to understand the level of love and devotion permeating the experience.
