Congratulations on the 10th article brought through to the world via Huffington Post! Thank you for clarifying the big picture, sometimes I get so focused on the puzzle piece at hand.
Its a good article and a good reminder.
Michael,
Man cannot change his state of consciousness, because it is consciousness that has made his state of consciousness to be what it is.
It is consciousness that keeps everything together including you in the evolving big picture, which you could never know. You are not one with the big picture because the big picture keeps changing every moment and you cannot know the big picture. You do not know the picture of the big puzzle of life as an image in your mind. You know only the picture of the puzzle on a box as an image within you mind.
Since you say “Consciousness, your consciousness, underlies all things and brings them together into a unified whole.” It implies that consciousness will evolve your state of consciousness and you cannot change your state of consciousness but you say that you can “By changing your state of consciousness, you change your relationship with everything.” This is a contradiction.
You cannot bring the value out that “Once you understand that Consciousness is what underlies everything in existence and is also our essence”. The awareness of the value will happen if it is meant to happen by consciousness as your state of consciousness.
Consciousness is the sap that facilitates every natural blossoming which includes the awareness that “Consciousness is what underlies everything in existence and is also our essence.”
Even the looking within our own consciousness to understand nature too happens because the sap of understanding is consciousness as well.
The understanding of daily life is: consciousness that is everywhere is light. The unified field of Quantum physics is light, and light appears as a wave and particle in the same moment. This implies that the pieces of the puzzle that is perceived in any moment of daily life is an illusion of light and not real. This understanding is referenced in the Upanishads and by the enlightened. To do meditation, numerical time is needed and numerical time is absent in life. So man cannot and does not do meditation, meditation happens to man because of consciousness. Meditation is therefore an illusion of a singular movement of the body.

Gerard,
The whole point of spiritual evolution is to change the level, the state of consciousness. That is the essential purpose of meditation. Trying to understand deep concepts of the nature of life and existence often falls prey to such convolutions. Your concepts and notions of the meaning of words you have studied are a bit convoluted. The big picture is not an image like on the box containing a puzzle. That was only an analogy. In reality, the big picture is not a ‘picture’ at all. It is pure consciousness, pure is-ness. I can help you with all of this, but only to the extend that you are open to that.
Michael,
Man by meditation cannot make consciousness to change the level of his consciousness, because to do anything time is required and time is absent in life. the Upanishads, the Bhagawad Gita and the enlightened have proclaimed that man is not the doer. The limited mind cannot understand pure consciousness. Is consciousness that has manifested the illusory limited mind.
Gerard
Hi Gerard,
So clearly you are pretty fixed in your ideas and your perspective on the Upanishads, Gita, etc. That is your choice, but I see nothing productive coming from further interaction at this point. I do wish you all the best in life. Good luck to you.
