Every economic situation is a great opportunity for success for those who know what is coming. You know what is coming. I have been telling you for years what is now clear to everyone who is willing to look. It is only for you to seize the opportunity. It’s simple: just do not behave like a deer in the headlights.
All we need to do is keep a steady hand on the rudder and we will be fine. Mount Soma is moving along. Hanuman is coming soon (i.e. Hanuman Park).
The Age of Enlightenment is coming. My concern is with the world. Our work is to make the transition as comfortable as possible for the world. We have the technology. If we just all stick together, we can make it happen.
It’s amazing to me to be in the middle of it, never imaging it’d be me, but it doesn’t deter me from moving forward and to Mt Soma.
Jai Shiva Sankara.
This blog, as many of these blogs about the world and one’s role in it, raises in me the questions: Who are “we”? Who am “I” in the large scheme of things?
“I” feel so small. I have a hard time really believing I or we can alter the fate our society has set itself up for. I feel powerless on that large of a scale. How can I as one single thread in such a large tapestry change the weave? Sometimes it seems the most I can do is to create a snag by not going along in some small way. But all the little snags by so many threads may succeed only in creating a uniform fuzzy texture to the fabric. 🙂
I do feel in living and working here that I am a part of some larger force, like a cog in a greater mechanism. That feels good. I trust in this larger mechanism that is led by your vision, Brahmarshi . I know “trust” can be a controversial word, and there is some giving way to blindness in it. Somewhere between my small cog-ness and my connection to the whole machine, I meet the limit of my really being able to see, understand for myself what is going on in the bigger picture.
I do see and understand in a vague sense, but as I keep hearing the vision and plan you carry, I notice I have a hard time really letting it in and fully believing it. It is my longing to know it for myself and inhabit that knowing that brings me here to Mount Soma, and yet—so far—I am only able to stand on the edge of what it offers.
So meanwhile, I am dedicated (as a small cog) to turning my own little repetitive circles and slowly, slowly grow to understand more—or at least accomplish some small parts in a larger plan.
Joy Anna,
I like to compare this to a math student and their professor. The student early on learns addition, then subtraction, etc. Each step of the way, the student gets a better feel of what the professor knows. Each step along the way insight into the greater field of mathematics is gained. More and more insight, appreciation, and knowledge of the subject is gained. As that progresses, the vision of the professor is understood more and more fully. It is not based upon trust or faith, but upon a deepening of knowledge. Similarly, with the very first meditation, your appreciation of this knowledge deepens and continues to grow in insight and understanding over time, through lectures, rounding, reflection, etc. The more that grows, the greater becomes your appreciation for what you do not yet know. That is a great blessing in life. If one is stagnant, they stay at one point. Once one begins to move forward, they gain a second stage or point of development. Two points determine a line. That line points beyond your current horizon. The vision it affords is priceless. Consider yourself to be most fortunate for that vision, that feeling, of what lies beyond the horizon. That vision, in and of itself, keeps you moving forward, forward, always forward.
Thank you.
Jai Guru Dev~
