I have spoken and written so many times about the state of world affairs and warned of the economic and social challenges ahead. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have begun to write still another blog on the subject only to delete it. The truth is, you have heard it from me many times before. You will take heed or you will not. The choice is yours.
So one last time, Mount Soma is being created to be a bastion of harmony, security, and coherence. Not only will it radiate like a quantum mechanical transmitter of peace to the world, but needless to say to its residents even more so.
This will be so on many levels – both sublime and pragmatic. Do not think your money alone will protect you from the times ahead. It is now clear, to even the most pragmatic and non-spiritual, that a time of great transition is upon our world… economically, socially, and politically.
The decisions you make for your life are yours alone. You are well aware of my opinion.
National Public Radio just did a program to explore “how to fix the economy” using the computer analysis software economists use. The software allows for adjustments to different parameters. Example parameters were: the European economy, taxes, the housing market, car sales, the price of oil, and consumer confidence. What’s facinating is that no matter what parameter they adjusted, or how much they tweeked it in a positive direction, they could not bring US unemployment back to 5.4% (good) within the next five years.
I was amazed to see so concretely how even extraordinary reform on the surface cannot undo the damage done. Very illustrative, I thought, of Brahmarshi’s saying that “it isn’t new thoughts, but a new way of thinking that is needed” and that “a problem can’t be solved employing the same mentality that created the problem.”
When you are right you are right… In violent agreement with you over here on West Coast… 🙂
We must transcends the laws created by men and apply the laws that exist in nature…
When will that happen? Only when it must happen, not before and not after.
There was another study that aired on NPR back in the Spring that concluded:
“Most of the economic problems, according to key indicators like, debt, trade and financial deficits, currency devaluation, markets, financial reform, unemployment, etc…would resolve themselves (self-correct/normalize) in 2-4 years if Congress would simply do nothing…”
I’m not sure about the analytics or the study as a whole, but this had a strikingly familiar ring of truth in it…
To me, this suggests that if people would “give it space” then the systems would self-normalize on their own…
The analyses and conclusions Hayley so eloquently illustrated above are attempts to create a framework around a dynamic (e.g. Economics) that is larger than any framework.
Perhaps one “new way of thinking” might be “learning to live and work with uncertainty” and the things you cannot put a framework around …?
Imagine if all the world really could live in peace.
This blog brings me to tears (of frustration and fear). I’m biding my time out here in this crazy world and I can’t figure out how to make a move happen (at least not anytime soon).
Predicting world events is like predicting where, when a tree sheds its leaves, each leaf will come to rest. Through sufficient harmony with natural law, they can all fall to arrange peace and prosperity for all. It is in our grasp to make that so. Yet this is so far from main stream thought, that even my students sometimes forget it is so.
I don’t know either how to “get to” Mount Soma, but I can embody the principles taught in this moment. For me the laws of nature
manifest in being with a fierce goddess mama birthing her first child in a birthing center without meds. This woman honored an internal wisdom despite being born into a family of 10 doctors. This morning I saw Durga in her, primal. I know the laws of nature will prevail if given attention. So I am saying to the world that I am leaving Austin and accepting no more birth clients here after March. What will I do? It’s not clear yet, but if humanity is still giving birth and women are organizing around natural law, then I plan on being there. There is a peace in this intention that rose out of the frustration of “how to”.
