boyWe are in the time of a great phase transition.  Whether or not this nation catapults forward or, like the Roman Empire, collapses under its own weight, is up to us.

The family of nations is so intertwined that the prosperity of the entire globe is at stake.  I choose to live a life dedicated to catapulting the world forward.  We have the technology to make it so.  Either we regenerate our world, or we allow it to succumb to fate.

The following quotes provide some historical perspective on the matter:

Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.
– John Adams (1735-1826) Founding Father, 2nd US President

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.  – Albert Einstein

It’s discouraging to think how many people are shocked by honesty and how few by deceit.
– Noël Coward (1899-1973)

The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependence; from dependency back again into bondage.
– Sir Alex Fraser Tytler (1742-1813)
