“A great many people think they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices.” – Edward R. Murrow
Prejudice reaches far beyond the limits that most project upon it. This is particularly so in how one views ones own personal prejudices. Through prejudice, you create your world.
Most information is wrong information.
Putting all that together, you may feel there is little hope… no way out of the illusion. However, it is through the awareness of this nature of life combined with the dedication to Truth that you will navigate the waters of life and ultimately attain wisdom.
Life’s beauty lies in its elusive nature. The spiritual path is the path of discernment.
Discernment arises with the integration of heart and mind, both discovering their roots in the same one thing.
Profoundly beautiful. Sets a humble trajectory for liberation.
Reading this, I have an image of the path to wisdom being a dance of following truth. Weaving in and out of the trees, I’m trying to catch a will-o-the-wisp, thinking if I could just grasp it in my hands then I could understand it.
But it ends up leading me through the jungle!
And really, this is hopeful. For how else could I navigate the jungle of this world? When I just look at the chaotic jumble of life, I feel lost and don’t know where to start. But focusing on a little dancing light ahead of me, I begin to learn the lay of the land, the laws of the forest, and learn better how to navigate the wild patterns of life.
I agree..profoundly beautiful! The integration of heart and mind seems to be in my awareness constantly. I do long for the time when the integration will flow however for now I will enjoy the moments when it seems to be.
Thank you for this today Brahmarshi
I’m struck by: “Through prejudice, you create your world. Most information is wrong information.” This can keep me busy for a long time…
What a photo……
For me, this stunning, stunning representation simply and sweetly registers that feeling/knowing: “I AM THAT”!!!
All of these are lovely comments
I had to get past getting stuck on the word “prejudice”, it sent me back to the dictionaries. Pre judgement on all it’s various levels, and not necessarily “bad”, one online dictionary gave the example of being “prejudiced to liking someone with blue eyes”.
“Most information is wrong information” by the prejudicial filters we apply to it? I think…or am I rearranging my prejudices here. Ah, well, the Golden Frog is indeed elusive. I continue to feel my way through this.
Yes again Charlotte,
Prejudice births wrong information.
Of course, much wrong information is the result of simply being mistaken.
It astounds me to see how much wrong information is floated past me on a daily basis.
I am a gatherer of wrong information. Then I filter it all through my fingers until I find what resonates and feels like the truth. That takes time.
Recently, a question in vastu came up. I searched many sources for the answer. Someone wondered why I have to seek out sources if I am, as some say, the creator of such great vastu designs. It is, of course, by seeking out so many sources, that I make those designs.
