Recently, there has been a great deal of criticism in the news regarding the royal wedding and the English Monarchy in general. Many are quick and proud to say they have no interest in the Royal family.

An essential point eludes so many these days. That point is the value of cultural integrity and the value of tradition.
~
Cultures culture the people. When held wisely, they refine mentality, morality, integrity, etc. for every individual.

I have heard many anti-tradition arguments which are certainly vogue these days and usually do have their logical component. Yet anything can be justified by the intellect including, it seems, the sterilization of humanity.
~
That is certainly unfortunate and will change as humanity matures.
I went to a “It’s a Wedding” party early this morning to watch the wedding. Sweet oat and wheat biscuits, cucumber sandwiches, fruit salad, British breakfast tea and champagne were served in style. Some dressed in their finest pajamas with pearls, though alas no hats. It was fun to watch, the ceremony beautiful and the couple radiant.
Hmmm. I have not thought through this before, but it seems that tradition could be a positive or a negative force – depending upon how tightly one clings to it or how blindly one follows it. And about today’s events: I do not care for the concept of a monarchy, but I enjoyed the beauty of today’s wedding ceremony and accompanying celebrations.
