It is not easy to understand another person. But if we observe their behavior, how they hold themselves, their demeanor, we can gain insight into what makes them tick.
The ability to take a step back and try to understand others is an important skill to develop in life.
Of course, remaining humble with our insights is an important part of the learning process.
The deeper you look, the better you see.
Thank you for your words!!!
Same topic was addressed in class today. It’s much more powerful being in your presence and listening to much detailed discussion. To be able to understand others, I feel I need to understand myself first, to see what makes me tick. Often times I lost myself first and got caught in the weeds. It’s not so easy to do, but I find it fascinating! Thank you.
If you want to be a success in life, this is your key.
So very true. It reminds me of when you would say “understanding, not over-standing.”
Sometimes the photos accompanying your blog say as much as the words. Light and shadow, looking deeper to see what is not readily seen or offered to be seen. Plus bubbles: effervescent human nature, what will bubble to the surface given the chance?
Yes the photos are wonderful. My wife, Tanja, is an incredible photographer.
Thank you. This is a good reminder to really look and really listen to those around us.
