Today is the first day of winter. The Sun rises in the southernmost location. Many have been feeling the challenging events of the past year with the difficult jyotish influences. You may want to take a look at the Sun today knowing that by the time it returns to this position, life will be better for many of us. In fact, by 2020, the world will likely look much different and much better. Hang in there!

The Truth about Religion and Flatlining
More from Michael Mamas
"Take the time to reflect on what is said here. If you find yourself associating this material with things you have heard elsewhere, please take the time to diligently explore how they are different. This knowledge is elusive. I share it here because I have seen how much this knowledge helps people – the potential is enormous."

With all the anger and negativity in the U.S. right now, unless you avoid the media and social media, it is easy to lose yourself. It looks like there is no end in sight and I can’t imagine four more years of this. Thank goodness I have meditation.
Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. Felt extra good today!
I have felt that this period building the past few years and what is to come, will bring changes we can’t yet imagine. We will be look back with amazement at where we were, and then, where we are.
Happy Solstice all,
Jai Shiva Sankara
I have not been doing much social media, for months, and now I am on a mental diet from news media, too. If I wasn’t angry about it, it was making me cry, and intruding on waking life and meditation. My stepson pointed out that when things do go right, it never makes the news. A friend of mine said something similar: All the good that people do never makes it to the news. Can you imagine the headlines? GUN OWNER USES GUN IN SAFE MANNER; GOES HOME AFTER UNEVENTFUL TARGET PRACTICE. PARENTS NEVER START ABUSING MEDS; DO GREAT JOB REARING CHILD. heee heee heeee
On this day, Chinese eat tang-yuan, round balls made of sweet rice. They are usually served during certain holidays when family members get together, symbolizing togetherness. We didn’t have tang-yuan today but will have Mount Soma family Christmas luncheon tomorrow.
Having few more work study members on the mountain, I already felt the shift and look forward to what next year will bring.
As the sun is reborn from this darkest night, the awakening begins. It is with abundance of love that I choose to greet this new day, walking in stride with what it brings. I have had moments of blackness, stealing the light from my life. But as I resurface, like the green sea turtles who dig their way through the sand for a chance at life, I choose to move toward the light, toward the sea, toward the ethereal. I can’t wait to see you all. Ill be there in less than two weeks.
Hi Brad,
I look forward to your return! So glad you are coming soon!
