Nothing is Black and White

NOMany factors are involved in most everything… every perspective, every decision, every philosophy, etc.  Disagreements arise. Not so much because of the difference in opinion, but rather on how adamant one is regarding his perspective.  Usually, if one is willing to reflect, he can see at least some truth in both perspectives.

Conflicts amplify further when one overstates his viewpoint to be sure he has made it.  A tug of war results.  It may be feared that acknowledging the truth in the other perspective may result in losing the argument.  The other perspective is then underrated.  Nothing is black and white, but people try to make it all black and white.  As it is said, yin creates yang… right creates left… the wheel of life goes round and round.

I recently told someone something I felt would help him… encouraging him to be bolder and move forward with his life.  I knew it would stretch his comfort zone.  It will be easy for him to take a stand and overstate my words in his mind – to make me wrong – to justify his current worldview.  We will see what he does with my words.

Balance is the key.

About Anger

flowerAlways remember that what underlies anger is hurt. To only allow yourself to feel the anger is to be in denial of the real issue, namely, the hurt. Your reaction to feeling hurt is to get angry.

Allow yourself to feel the hurt. Denial (Don’t Even Know I Am Lying) is unhealthy for your psyche, physiology, and relationships.

Freedom of Conscience

An older English gentleman, being interviewed on the news, said America is losing its Freedom of Conscience.  It is represented in the US constitution as Freedom of Speech.  I understand other countries do call it Freedom of Conscience.  It is a profound and precious concept sometimes thought of as listening within for Truth… the idea that God speaks to you through your conscience.

But is your conscience really free?  Are you free to think for yourself? Or has society, your peers, religions and political correctness told you how to think?  Do you even know your inner voice or is it your indoctrination masquerading as your conscience?  In this age of political correctness, your conscience is under attack: “Think this way or you are vile!”  Intolerance is rampant and, as Gandhi said, Intolerance is, in and of itself, a form of violence.

The depth of your being is divine.  Human evolution is about living in harmony with the depth of your being.  Societies, religions, peers, and everything in a culture… in your environment… support your evolution when that culture is healthy.  In this day and age that is a difficult thing to even comprehend.  Worldviews are at war with one and other.  Conscience has been hijacked by indoctrination.  If you are not careful, even the finest of religions, morality, and codes do not free but instead they enslave.  They can be used but are often abused.  The path of evolution is indeed delicate.

As you evolve, you become free.  It is called spiritual liberation.  When truly free, your conscience is the voice of the divine.  But such freedom is not attained through indoctrination.  Nor is it attained through rebellion or anarchy.  It is only attained through your evolution… a profound, delicate, highly misunderstood and elusive process.

Freedom of Conscience is a lovely concept, when comprehended and honored.

Structure of the Veda

horsesWe finished our three-day class here at Mount Soma a few days ago and now the Deep Dive Course is underway. The theme of the class (the Structure of the Veda) has carried over into the Deep Dive.

I am having a wonderful time with it… incredibly fascinating. New insights are being revealed daily. It is a field that can be pondered without end. As the pondering/exploration continues, the ocean of your being is churned and, in so doing, the nectar of immortality, of wisdom, emerges (as per the classic tug of war between Devas and Asuras). It is all exquisitely beautiful.

It is good to stay close these days and attend classes and lectures as much as possible. To be a part of the process now going on is a great fortune.

Presently, the information feels too delicate and deep to even attempt to provide in a blog or to make tapes available. I must say that I have been enjoying it immensely… fascinating and evolutionary beyond words!

These days, my reflective thoughts are mostly with the Veda. I have noticed that as a result, I have not written a blog for a while. Please accept this explanation. I suspect I will resurface soon.
